Lot 581: A Collection of Mid-Century Modern Coloured Glassware
A collection of mid-century modern coloured glassware, comprising three large brandy balloon vases, an ovoid vase, and a tall conical stem vase. The group features a varied palette of typical 1960s and 1970s hues, including dark amethyst, vibrant lime green, smoky grey, and teal. Each of the brandy balloons is designed with a large bulbous bowl; two feature clear glass stems and circular feet, while the smoky grey example is constructed with an integrated solid glass foot in a matching tone. The teal-green ovoid vase is finished with a shouldered form and a flared rim. The tall teal vase is decorated with vertical optic ribbing to the conical body, supported by a knopped clear glass stem and a circular foot. No maker’s marks, signatures, or etched labels are visible on the surfaces of any piece.
