Lot 131: A Large Glazed Stoneware Ovoid Garden Planter with Established Liriope Plant
A large garden planter of ovoid form, constructed from glazed stoneware. The vessel features a thick, flat-top rim and a bulbous body. The exterior is finished in a uniform light-tan or buff-coloured glaze. No maker’s marks or factory stamps are visible on the exterior of the body; the underside has not been inspected as the item is currently filled with soil and positioned on the ground. The planter contains an established live plant, identified by web consensus as Liriope (Lilyturf) or a similar grass-like perennial. The item is sold as-seen with the included plant and carries a handwritten seller’s tag and a printed lot sticker numbered 131.
Condition report:
The planter is in good used condition, showing signs of wear consistent with outdoor use. There is visible surface dirt, mineral staining, and moss accumulation around the rim and interior. No significant chips, cracks, or structural damage are visible in the provided images.
