Lot 199: A Large Two-Tone Plastic Marine Mooring Buoy
A large marine mooring buoy or fender of teardrop form, constructed from heavy-duty plastic with a two-tone orange and blue finish. The blue upper section features an integrated metal mooring ring. While the form is characteristic of marine equipment produced by manufacturers such as Polyform AS, no manufacturer’s marks or identifying inscriptions are visible on this example. A paper auction label marked Lot 199 is adhered to the side.
Condition report:
The item shows significant signs of previous marine use and exposure, including extensive surface soiling, staining, and weathering throughout. The metal mooring ring is heavily rusted. General surface abrasions and scuffs are present, consistent with age and utility.
