Lot 377: A Collection of Approximately 15 Boxed Porcelain and Fine Bone China Collector Plates
A collection of approximately 15 circular collector plates, primarily manufactured from fine bone china and porcelain. The lot includes pieces from several European and British makers, including Kaiser-Porzellan of Germany, and Royal Grafton and Davenport Pottery of England. The plates feature transfer-printed decorations across various series. Identified patterns include the Lark Rise to Candleford collection by Royal Grafton, depicting rural landscapes with steam locomotives, and the Memories in Motion series by Barry Freeman for Davenport Pottery, specifically the Sharing the Sunshine design. Other designs include anthropomorphic hedgehogs amongst daffodils. The items are contained within their original manufacturer packaging, including blue boxes with the Kaiser crown over AK logo and beige Royal Grafton boxes. Some plates are accompanied by original Certificates of Authenticity. One box features a handwritten inscription reading Tang Tail.
Condition report:
The plates appear to be in generally good condition, housed in their original cardboard and polystyrene packaging. The individual boxes show various degrees of shelf wear, scuffing, and minor tearing. The large outer cardboard shipping carton is in poor condition with significant tears and structural damage. The items have not been individually inspected for minor chips or cracks beneath the packaging.
