Lot 387: An Assortment of 20th-Century Glassware and Ceramics including Royal Commemorative Items
This collection comprises various 20th-century ceramic and glass pieces. Included is a large ceramic bowl featuring a blue and white floral transfer-printed design with a scalloped rim. Accompanying this is a large earthenware mixing bowl with a buff-coloured exterior and a cream-glazed interior. The glassware includes several clear pressed and cut glass items such as divided serving dishes, plates, and bowls in various patterns. Notable boxed items consist of a set of sherry glasses in original packaging marked Sherries by Dema, and a pair of commemorative glass goblets with gilt rims, produced to celebrate the 1981 marriage of HRH The Prince of Wales and Lady Diana Spencer. One glass bowl retains a lot sticker numbered 511.
Condition report:
The earthenware mixing bowl exhibits visible interior staining and surface wear consistent with age and domestic use. The remaining items appear to be in generally fair condition, though some light surface scratching may be present. The boxes for the glassware show some shelf wear and age-related discolouration.
