Lot 476: A Pair of Late 20th Century Stained Pine Six-Panel Internal Doors
A pair of internal doors of traditional six-panel design, constructed from stained wood with a dark oak-effect finish. The timber exhibits a grain and knotting pattern consistent with pine. The doors feature raised and fielded panels in a configuration characteristic of Georgian and Victorian styles. Each door is fitted with a brass-coloured ball-form door knob and a mortice latch. Brass-effect butt hinges are present on the hanging edges. A white rectangular label with the number 476 is affixed to the upper corner of one door. No manufacturer marks or stamps are visible. The doors are of a standard commercial design common in the United Kingdom.
Condition report:
The doors are in generally good used condition. The stained finish shows minor surface wear, including light scuffs and scratches consistent with age and domestic use. One door has white adhesive or paper residue on the upper panels. The hardware is functional but shows surface tarnishing.
