Lot 495: A Collection of Decorative Glassware and a Royal Tudor Ware Transferware Plate
A collection of decorative items comprising a Royal Tudor Ware ceramic plate and various glasswares. The plate features a red transferware design from the Coaching Taverns series, depicting a stagecoach outside an inn with a broad floral border. The reverse bears the printed mark Coaching Taverns 1828 Hand Engraved by W.N. Mellor, Royal Tudor Ware, Staffordshire, England. The glassware includes a large pressed glass basket with starburst patterns and an integral handle. A dressing table set is present, consisting of a matching rectangular tray, lidded jars, and a small bowl, all featuring molded geometric motifs. The lot further includes several small clear glass vases with molded starburst decoration and an iridescent glass scent bottle. The scent bottle is finished with an ornate, jewelled-style metal collar and a matching stopper.
Condition report:
The items appear to be in good overall condition. No significant chips, cracks, or repairs are visible upon inspection. Minor surface wear and light scratches consistent with age and use may be present.
