Lot 534: A Royal Copenhagen Porcelain Coffee Service in the Linnaea Pattern
A set of Royal Copenhagen fine porcelain in the Linnaea pattern. The service features a mid-century modernist design comprising a tall, tapered coffee pot with a fitted lid, a collection of coffee cups and saucers, and a triangular dish with rounded corners. The decoration consists of a delicate botanical Twinflower (Linnaea borealis) motif with green leaves and small brownish-pink flowers, finished with a thin, pale green band around the rims. The base of the triangular dish bears a printed factory mark featuring a crown surrounded by the words ROYAL COPENHAGEN DENMARK, three hand-painted wavy blue lines, and the hand-painted numbers 124 over 9761. The coffee pot is designed with an angular D-shaped handle and a lid featuring a circular green knop.
Condition report:
The collection appears to be in good overall condition. No major chips, cracks, or repairs are visible on the coffee pot or the triangular dish. There is light surface wear and minor scuffing to the unglazed footrims consistent with age and use.
