Lot 541: A Starfire Dreadnought Electro Acoustic Guitar
A full-size dreadnought electro acoustic guitar by Starfire. The instrument features a natural-finish laminate top with a black teardrop pickguard and a decorative soundhole rosette. The back and sides are finished in a dark reddish-brown. The neck is fitted with a dark wood fretboard featuring white dot position markers and leads to a black finished headstock. The headstock bears the Starfire brand name in gold-toned lettering and is equipped with six chrome-finished enclosed tuning machines. The internal decorative label is printed with the brand name Starfire and includes the text Musical Instruments Co. Ltd and Made in China. The guitar is fitted with a dark wood bridge and white bridge pins.
Condition report:
The instrument shows signs of heavy use and cosmetic modification. A large black stencil or decal has been applied to the lower bout depicting a hand gesture and the word GRENADE. There is a dark smudged mark on the finish below the bridge and various surface scratches and scuffs are present across the body. The strings are untidily wound around the tuning posts and require replacement. A paper auction lot sticker is adhered to the front upper bout. No case is present with this lot.
