Lot 309: A Collection of Assorted Household and Decorative Items
A group of various household and decorative objects. The collection includes a stoneware jug with a brown and tan glaze, a lidded woven grass basket featuring colourful geometric patterns, and two shallow wooden boxes. The boxes contain damaged decorative paper linings and ephemera, notably a 1956 programme for Music for the Millions at Bournemouth Winter Gardens. Accompanying glassware consists of a textured clear glass bottle and a smaller glass jar. Metal items include a tankard, a grey metal hook-handled measure, and a weathered metal component with a rusted domed top. The items are contained within a cardboard fruit box marked Bici and Spania.
Condition report:
The collection exhibits varied condition throughout. Significant losses and peeling are visible to the decorative paper linings of the wooden boxes. Metal components show signs of oxidation and surface rust, particularly to the domed component. General surface wear and signs of age are present across all items.
