Lot 329: A Wooden Model of a Four-Masted Sailing Ship, 1875 Viking
A wooden model of a four-masted sailing ship, mounted on a rectangular wooden display plinth. The vessel features a two-tone painted hull with a white upper section and a black lower section, detailed with rows of portholes and two white lifeboats on davits. The deck is populated with various wooden structures, and the vessel is rigged with four masts, yardarms, and intricate cord rigging. A black plaque on the front of the base is inscribed with the characters 1875 VIKING. The model bears a circular sticker numbered 32 and an auction house lot tag from Liskeard Auction Rooms.
Condition report:
The model appears to be in good overall condition with some light surface dust. The rigging remains largely intact. No significant structural damage or missing components are visible.
