Key titles include Discovering Life on Earth by David Attenborough (Collins), The Times Atlas of the World (Times Books), Ocean by Boyce Thorne-Miller (Collins), Reader’s Digest Book of the Great Barrier Reef, and The Book of Great Disasters (Purnell). Further titles include Giants of the Sea by Cafiero/Jahoda (Swan Hill Press), The Random House Atlas of the Oceans (published in association with the World Conservation Union/IUCN), and several specialist works on sharks by authors including Andrew Cleave, Mac McDiarmid, and Marty Snyderman. The assortment also features Small Animals by Jane Burton (Galley Press), An Illustrated History of Aircraft (Galley Press), The Marine Aquarium (Interpet), The Camera Never Lies, Purnell’s Illustrated Nature Atlas, Great World Atlas (Reader’s Digest), The Cascades (Time-Life Books, The American Wilderness series), and the Standard World Atlas (Hamlyn/Hammond).
Condition report:
The books are in a condition consistent with a used library, showing typical signs of shelf wear and handling. Most spines remain intact, although the Standard World Atlas exhibits significant wear to the head and tail, and The Times Atlas of the World shows rubbing and light scuffing to the extremities. Dust jackets are present on many volumes and show varying degrees of surface rubbing, minor creasing, and edge wear. The books appear to have been stored in a workshop or storage environment; internal contents have not been inspected for foxing or inscriptions.
