Lot 576: A Collection of 20th-Century British Bone China and Porcelain Tea Wares including Paragon and Coalport
This collection comprises a variety of British ceramic tea wares, predominantly fine bone china and porcelain from the mid-20th century. Manufacturers identified by marks or vendor attribution include Paragon, Coalport, Minton, and Colclough. The assortment features several distinct patterns and services. A red transferware service is decorated with a dense, all-over floral chintz-style pattern and includes a large serving plate, a milk jug, and multiple teacups and saucers. A trio in the Gaudy Welsh style is decorated in a traditional Imari palette of cobalt blue, rust, and green with gilt highlights. The collection also includes a white porcelain set featuring Lily of the Valley sprays with gilt rims, a set decorated with purple floral garlands and scalloped rims, and a blue lattice pattern set with a central floral motif.
