Lot 580: Beswick Fireside Model German Shepherd Alsatian Figurine - 344mm in height
A large ceramic fireside figure of a seated German Shepherd, also known as an Alsatian, manufactured by Beswick in England. The piece is modelled in a naturalistic pose with alert ears and a focused expression, finished in a high-gloss glaze with characteristic black-and-tan markings. The unglazed base bears a circular black printed factory mark with the text Beswick England and a script letter L in the centre. This form corresponds to the Beswick fireside series, specifically model number 2410.

Condition report:
The figure is in good overall condition with no visible chips, cracks, or evidence of restoration. The glaze remains bright and intact. There is minor shelf wear and standard kiln support marks present on the unglazed underside of the base.
