A collection of hardcover volumes published by The Folio Society, London. The group includes The Siege of Krishnapur by J. G. Farrell (2005), featuring an introduction by Hilary Mantel and illustrations by Francis Mosley, bound in yellow cloth with red and black cavalry motifs; Short Stories by Ernest Hemingway (1986), selected and introduced by David Hughes with illustrations by Ian Beck, bound in quarter black cloth with graphic-patterned boards; P. G. Wodehouse Short Stories (1983), selected and introduced by Christopher Falkus with drawings by George Adamson, bound in quarter brown cloth with patterned boards; and The Best of Saki, bound in illustrated cream cloth. All volumes are octavo in size and are presented in their original publisher’s slipcases, comprising red and tan cases.
Condition report:
The volumes are in very good condition with clean, bright bindings and crisp, unmarked text blocks. The slipcases exhibit light shelf wear and minor surface marking consistent with age and handling.
