Lot 601: A Smiths Quartz Pocket-Watch Style Travel Alarm Clock
A Smiths battery-operated travel alarm clock designed in the style of a pocket watch. The clock features a polished chrome-tone circular case with a hinged, fold-out back cover that serves as a stand. The cream-coloured dial is set with gold-tone Arabic numerals and luminescent-tipped gold-tone hour and minute hands, alongside a slim gold-tone central alarm setting hand. The dial is marked SMITHS below the 12 o’clock position. The item is housed in its original red velvet-lined presentation case, which features the SMITHS name embossed in gold to the interior lid. Accompanied by the original Alarm Clock User’s Manual detailing battery replacement and electronic alarm operation.
Condition report:
The clock is offered in an untested condition. The case and dial exhibit minor surface wear and light scratches consistent with age and use. The presentation box shows light shelf wear and minor marks to the exterior.
