Lot 626: A mid-century cream painted balanced-arm desk lamp
A mid-20th-century balanced-arm desk lamp in a cream-painted finish. The lamp features an articulating design with twin-spring tensioned arms for adjustable positioning. It is fitted with a conical metal shade featuring cooling vents at the top and is mounted on a weighted rectangular base with a matching cream-coloured plastic or composite cover. The construction comprises painted metal arms and shade with steel tension springs. No manufacturer marks are visible on the base or body; a white auction lot label is present on the base reading Liskeard Auction Rooms and Lot 626. The lamp is fitted with a black power cord.
Condition report:
The lamp is in good used condition with wear consistent with age and functional use. Observable signs of wear include minor surface scuffs, light scratches to the paintwork, and an accumulation of dust. As a vintage electrical item, this is sold as untested and must be inspected and PAT tested by a qualified electrician prior to use.
