Lot 627: A Set of Figgjo Flint Norwegian Ceramic Bowls in the Lotte Pattern
A set of Norwegian glazed ceramic bowls in the Lotte pattern, designed by Turi Gramstad Oliver for Figgjo Flint. The set consists of one large serving bowl and six smaller individual bowls. Each piece is of a rounded-square form with a white glaze. The decoration features whimsical folk-art style illustrations in shades of blue and purple. The central serving bowl depicts a seated figure under a stylised tree with birds, while the six smaller bowls feature a single seated figure surrounded by floral motifs. The rims are finished with a blue geometric dotted border. The designs are applied using a handpainted silkscreen technique. Each piece bears a blue printed mark on the underside featuring a flower logo and the words Turi-design, LOTTE, Figgjo, Norway, and Handpainted Silkscreen.
Condition report:
The set is in good vintage condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs. There is minor surface wear and light utensil marks consistent with age and domestic use. A handwritten dealer sticker is present on the interior of the large bowl.
