Lot 638: A Collection of Decorative Items to include Champagne Ice Buckets, a Lidded Ceramic Jug, and a Glass Dish
A collection of various household and decorative items comprising two contemporary brushed stainless steel miniature champagne ice buckets, a lidded ceramic jug, and a glass fish-form dish. The two buckets feature black rubber bases with retail labels attached and are etched with the word CHAMPAGNE in capital letters. The jug, in a late Victorian style, is made of cream-coloured ceramic with a transfer-printed floral design in muted tones, a bamboo-style handle, and a hinged grey metal lid with a thumb-lift. The clear glass dish is moulded into the shape of a fish and decorated with blue hobnail-style inclusions. No maker’s marks or hallmarks are visible.
Condition report:
The ceramic jug shows evidence of surface wear and crazing to the glaze. The metal buckets appear to be of recent manufacture. The glass dish appears to be in good condition.
