Lot 664: A Vintage Kangol Navy Blue Wide-Brimmed Dress Hat
A lady’s wide-brimmed dress hat manufactured by Kangol in the United Kingdom, circa 1970s-1980s. The piece is constructed from navy blue 100% polyester with a smooth finish. The design features a rounded dome crown and a wide brim with a subtle upward curve. Decorative elements include a navy fabric flower and a grosgrain ribbon bow at the base of the crown. The brim edge is finished with a coordinating grosgrain-style binding. The interior contains two labels: a primary white fabric label with the transcription K A N G O L, MADE IN UNITED KINGDOM, and a stylised script word design; a secondary care label states DO NOT WEAR IN THE RAIN and 100% POLYESTER. The lot is accompanied by a circular hat box with a sunflower print and a lot tag from a previous sale.

Condition report:
The hat is in good vintage condition. There is no visible damage to the polyester fabric, flower, or ribbon. The accompanying hat box shows minor signs of age and wear.
