Lot 666: A Collection of Artist's Materials and Equipment including Reeves Oil Paints
A collection of artist’s materials and equipment primarily contained within two hinged wooden carrying cases featuring black plastic internal dividers and brass-tone hardware. The contents include a set of Reeves oil paint tubes in various colours including Titanium White, Ivory Black, Crimson, and Yellow Ochre, alongside a selection of soft and oil pastels, water-soluble pencils, and watercolour pans. Drawing accessories include pencils, a sharpener, and a sponge. The lot also includes a repurposed Jameson Irish Whiskey cylindrical tin containing a group of artist’s brushes in various sizes and styles, including round, flat, and fan-shaped brushes.
Condition report:
The collection shows signs of previous professional use. Paint residue is visible on the brushes and several paint tubes are partially used. The wooden cases and the whiskey tin show minor surface wear and abrasions consistent with age and utility.
