Buyer's Premium:

This assortment of mid-20th-century items includes ceramics, glassware, and framed prints. The ceramic component features a partial tea service by Soho Pottery in the Queens Green Solian Ware pattern, comprising a teapot, cream jug, and sugar bowl. These pieces are decorated with a white ground, bold green bands, and gilt floral accents, bearing the transfer-printed marks for Soho Pottery Ltd, Cobridge, England. Also included is a large circular Ridgway Ironstone covered tureen in the Canterbury pattern, featuring a stylized floral design in earth tones, marked with the Ridgway Staffordshire stamp and registered trade mark number 733512. A square Schönwald Germany plate with a wildflower transfer-print is present, marked with the date 1960. The glassware selection includes an emerald green decanter with a tall neck featuring three molded concentric rings, two green pressed glass vases (one with vertical panel ribbing and one with a scalloped rim), a dark teal three-section divided dish, and a pale green plate with concentric ribbing. A dark olive-coloured glass bottle with a screw-top stopper is also included. Decorative items consist of four miniature botanical prints in gilt-effect frames, bearing labels for handmade wood frames from Florence, Italy, with gold leaf. The lot is completed by a set of ceramic ramekins with blue-lined rims and two chrome-plated lidded pots featuring pink handles and white finials.

Condition report:

The items are in generally good vintage condition consistent with age and use. There is notable surface wear, pitting, and oxidation to the metal components of the small chrome-plated pots. Minor staining and shelf wear are visible on the unglazed foot rims of the ceramic pieces. Bidders should note that the pale green glass plate has not been tested for uranium glass UV fluorescence.
