Lot 733: A Mid-Century Modern Style Extending Teak Veneered Dining Table and a Set of Chairs
A dining suite consisting of an oval extending dining table and a matching set of high-back chairs. The table is constructed with a teak-veneered top and features a central stowaway butterfly extension leaf. The structure is supported by four tapered circular-section legs. The chairs feature solid wood frames stained to a teak finish, with backs composed of four vertical laths. The padded seats are upholstered in a multi-tone neutral fabric. The underside of the chairs is stamped in brown ink with MADE IN HUNGARY and additional faded numerical characters. A yellow adhesive label is present with the handwritten text WADE HOLSWORTHY. Modern fire safety labels are attached to the upholstery.
Condition report:
The table top exhibits visible surface wear, including light scratches and scuffing to the edges and surface commensurate with age and use. The chair frames appear structurally sound. The upholstery shows light signs of use but is free from major staining or damage.
