Lot 748: A mid-20th-century Lloyd Loom lidded laundry hamper by W. Lusty and Sons
A mid-20th-century lidded laundry hamper manufactured by W. Lusty and Sons using the Lloyd Loom process. The hamper features a rectangular woven body and a hinged lid, finished in a pale blue paint. A partial manufacturer’s paper label is affixed to the interior wooden frame, displaying the characters loydLoo and W. LUSTY and SONS. The interior contains a single electric blanket in its original Essentials brand packaging.
Condition report:
The item shows visible wear consistent with age and domestic use. There is significant fading and loss to the painted finish, particularly on the lid and along the edges. Minor abrasions and small areas of fraying are present on the woven surface. The interior frame shows some dust and light staining. The electric blanket is in its original packaging and remains untested.
