Lot 767: A Pair of Wall-Mounted Metal Saddle and Bridle Racks
A pair of wall-mounted saddle and bridle racks, utilised in an equestrian tack room. Each rack is constructed from welded tubular and flat-section steel with a white painted finish. The design features a rounded, arched upper frame intended to support the tree of a saddle, reinforced with a central vertical rib and a horizontal cross-brace. The lower section incorporates an integrated hook for the suspension of bridles, headcollars, or other items of tack. Each unit is fitted with a flat-section mounting plate at the base, featuring pre-drilled holes for wall attachment. No manufacturer marks or stamps are visible on the metal components. One rack bears a paper auction lot tag numbered 767.
Condition report:
The racks show significant signs of age and use. The white painted finish is heavily worn, with numerous scuffs, chips, and areas of surface oxidation and rust, particularly at the weld points and mounting plates. There are also red and pink surface stains present on the white paint. One rack appears more weathered than the other.
