Lot 770: George III Style Mahogany and Line Inlaid Bow-front Corner Cupboard
A George III style mahogany bow-front corner cupboard of one-piece construction. The unit features a shallow raised gallery to the top above a bow-fronted body. The facade is configured with a single central cupboard door flanked by two fixed panels, decorated with light-wood stringing, likely boxwood or satinwood. Below the cupboard section are three drawers that follow the curve of the carcass, each featuring matching line inlay. The piece is supported by four square tapering legs. The cupboard door is mounted on brass butt hinges, and both the door and drawers are fitted with circular brass knob handles. The interior fittings are not visible. Please note the ceramic basin and pitcher displayed on the top are not included with this lot.
Condition report:
Visible wear consistent with age and use. There are minor instances of lifting and small losses to the stringing inlay, particularly on the lower drawer fronts. The mahogany surface shows general scuffs and marks consistent with a domestic environment.
