Lot 792: Two Queen Anne Style Mahogany Finished Side Tables
Two mid-to-late 20th-century reproduction side tables in the Queen Anne style with a mahogany finish. The first item is a tiered side table of serpentine form featuring a shaped top with a moulded edge. It is supported by four out-swept cabriole legs and incorporates a lower D-shaped shelf. The second item is a small occasional or lamp table with a scalloped or lobed top and a moulded edge. This table stands on three cabriole legs joined by a small circular lower shelf. Both pieces are constructed from mahogany-finished wood, typical of British furniture manufacture from the latter half of the 20th century.
Condition report:
Both items are in good structural condition. The tiered serpentine table shows minor surface scratches to the top and shelf consistent with age and domestic use. The scalloped occasional table exhibits more visible scuffing and minor finish loss to the outer moulded edge of the table top.
