Lot 824: A Nest of Three Mid-Century Teak Tables by Victor Wilkins for G-Plan
A nest of three mid-century modern teak tables from the Fresco or Astro range, designed by Victor Wilkins for G-Plan (E. Gomme Ltd). The set comprises three graduated tables, each featuring a teak-veneered top with solid wood lipped edges. The frames are constructed with characteristic arched side stretchers and tapered legs. One table retains a red square foil label on the underside with a white stylized G and the word PLAN, identifying the manufacturer as G-Plan, dating from the late 1960s or 1970s.
Condition report:
The tables are in fair to good vintage condition. The tops exhibit various signs of use, including surface scratches, minor scuffs, and faint water or ring marks. The frames remain structurally sound with light wear to the legs and corners consistent with age and domestic use.
