Lot 842: A contemporary double-sided wooden A-frame chalkboard advertising sign for The Cornish Pedlar
A contemporary double-sided A-frame chalkboard pavement sign of wooden construction with a distressed green painted finish. The frame consists of two panels joined by metal hinges at the top and a fabric stay-strap to the side. Both chalkboard surfaces feature hand-painted white lettering for a business titled The Cornish Pedlar. One side is lettered UPHOLSTERY – MODERN TRADITIONAL CONTEMPORARY with a directional arrow and FREE QUOTES. The reverse side is lettered UPHOLSTERY with a directional arrow, FURNITURE FINDING SERVICE, STOOLS, BOXES & HEADBOARDS MADE TO ORDER, and THE CORNISH PEDLAR. No manufacturer marks are visible on the frame or panels.
Condition report:
The sign is in used condition with wear consistent with outdoor display. There is visible scuffing and paint loss to the wooden frame, particularly concentrated along the edges and feet. The chalkboard surfaces show some ghosting and minor surface marks.
