Lot 891: A Late 20th Century Rustic Pine and Terracotta Tiled Dining Table
A country-style dining table constructed from light-coloured softwood, likely pine. The rectangular top features two distinct inset panels of square terracotta tiles, separated and enclosed by a wide wooden frame with mitred corners. The table is supported by a substantial apron and four square block legs. No permanent maker’s marks are present. Visible markings include a handwritten paper scrap on the tiled surface with the numbers 2722 and a printed adhesive label on the corner of the wooden frame numbered 891, both associated with temporary auction house tracking.
Condition report:
The table is in fair condition with signs of age and use consistent with a rustic piece. The pine frame exhibits surface scratches, minor indentations, and areas of discolouration. The terracotta tiles show surface grime and natural pitting, with darkened grout lines throughout. The structure remains robust.
