Lot 917: A Pair of Framed Yorkshire Themed Novelty Prints by The Yorkshire Print Company
A pair of contemporary framed prints with a Yorkshire regional theme, attributed to The Yorkshire Print Company. The first print is titled The Yorkshire Periodic Table and features a humorous grid layout styled after the periodic table of elements. Each cell contains an abbreviation for a Yorkshire dialect word or phrase, such as M for Marra, Ch for Chuck, and Ec for Eckers Like. It includes the subtitle If tha’s from Yorkshire tha better speak proper.
The second print is titled Yorkshire Brew Colour Chart and displays nine illustrations of tea mugs showing a gradient of brew strengths from very light to very dark. Each mug is accompanied by a corresponding Yorkshire phrase, including Has tha only just milked cow, Bloody Nora, and Mingin. The bottom of the print bears the legend If tha’s gonna make a coppa, make it proper. Both items are printed on paper and set behind glass within matching black frames.
Condition report:
Both items appear to be in good condition and are currently protected in bubble wrap. There is no visible damage to the frames, glass, or the prints themselves. They appear to be in potentially unused condition.
