Lot 962: A contemporary stained pine bedside pedestal
A contemporary stained pine bedside pedestal or cabinet, attributed to the manufacturer Ducal. The piece is constructed from solid pine featuring visible knots and grain patterns, finished with a warm-toned stain. The unit comprises a single frieze drawer above a cupboard door, which is decorated with a characteristic routed, shaped panel. Both the drawer and the cupboard are fitted with matching turned wooden knobs. The cabinet is raised on four turned bun feet and is finished with a back panel of horizontal pine slats. No maker’s marks or labels are visible.
Condition report:
The item is in good used condition. There are minor surface scuffs, light scratches, and wear to the stained finish consistent with age and domestic use. The piece appears structurally sound with no evidence of significant damage or repair.
