Lot 264: A Collection of Domestic Ceramics, Glassware, and Sundry Household Items including J&G Meakin
This lot comprises an assortment of household ceramics, glassware, and miscellaneous items. Featured is a J&G Meakin ironstone gravy boat in the Shantung pattern, decorated with blue transfer-printed Oriental-style pagodas and floral motifs. The base bears the printed mark Royal Staffordshire Shantung Ironstone J&G Meakin England. The collection includes several mugs, such as a promotional GBR workwear earthenware mug, a ribbed stoneware mug with an applied ceramic animal figurine, and a porcelain mug with heart decoration. Further ceramic items consist of a pair of baluster-form salt and pepper shakers with floral sprigs, a lidded pot modelled as a peach, an oval trinket box with a relief-moulded floral lid, and a porcelain vase with lily decoration.
