Lot 487: A Collection of Equestrian Brassware and a Poole Pottery Map Plate
A mixed group of decorative objects comprising cast brass equestrian items and a piece of English commemorative pottery. The metalware includes a large figure of a rearing horse mounted on a rectangular plinth with a decorative scroll border, a smaller freestanding horse figurine, and two hand bells featuring handles cast in the form of horses. The ceramic item is a circular souvenir plate by Poole Pottery, Dorset. The face of the plate displays a transfer-printed map of Poole Harbour and the surrounding coastline, including labels for Sandbanks, Canford Cliffs, and Lilliput. The reverse of the plate bears the printed factory mark with the dolphin symbol, Poole England, and Dishwasher & Oven Proof. One bell carries a modern auction label for lot 487.
