Lot 491: A Collection of Vintage Grooming and Vanity Accessories Including Silver Monogrammed Brushes
A collection of mid-20th century vintage grooming and vanity items. The assembly includes a pair of oval-shaped brushes featuring dark wood backs, possibly ebony, each set with an inlaid silver-tone scrolling ‘H’ monogram and fitted with natural bristles. Also included is a ‘Two-Tix’ set comprising two rectangular silver-tone containers with engine-turned guilloche patterns, one bearing an engraved ‘H’ monogram, presented in their original clear-fronted retail packaging marked ‘MADE IN ENGLAND’. The collection features a small, zippered travel manicure kit with an integrated brush on the reverse and a red fabric-lined interior containing several steel tools, including a nail file stamped ‘Made in Sheffield England’. Additionally, there is a black hexagonal hinged storage box with a red-lined interior containing a trade label for ‘Botterell & Son, Watchmakers & Jewellers, 248 & 25 Fore St, Liskeard’, and a small red textured presentation box.
