Lot 606: A Model Wooden Bow-Top Romani Traveller's Caravan
A wooden model of a Romani traveller’s caravan, specifically designed in a bow-top or barrel-top style. The body is constructed from stained horizontal wooden slats secured by two bands. The front facade features a small window with white lace curtains and a door positioned below. The front edges are decorated with a vertical row of gold-coloured metal studs. The caravan is mounted on a wooden four-wheel chassis with spoked wheels and black-painted rims. Two long wooden shafts extend from the front axle for a horse harness. A handwritten tag accompanies the item reading 9999 MODEL WOODEN TRAVELLERS CARAVAN, alongside an auction tag for Lot 606 from Liskeard Auction Rooms.
