Lot 626: A Pair of Large SylvaC Seated Terrier Figurines, Model No. 1380
A pair of mid-20th-century glazed earthenware dog figurines manufactured by SylvaC. These figures represent seated terriers, likely Fox Terriers or Jack Russells, and are designed in a distinctive whimsical style featuring large, expressive painted eyes and oversized black muzzles. The figurines are finished in a white glaze with hand-painted tan and brown patches applied to the heads and tails. One figurine is modelled with both ears folded forward, while the other features one pricked ear and one folded ear. Although the bases lack factory marks, the form and style are characteristic of SylvaC production, specifically corresponding to model number 1380.
