Lot 635: Miniature Hand-Painted Indonesian Djembe Drum
A miniature djembe drum of goblet form, manufactured in Indonesia. The body is hand-carved from wood, featuring a polished natural grain finish to the upper section and a black-painted base decorated with traditional dot-style motifs in shades of pink, white, green, and yellow. The drum head is constructed from natural animal skin, secured and tuned by a black synthetic rope tension system with knotted decorative loops. The interior of the base bears a white adhesive label printed with MADE IN INDONESIA and handwritten alphanumeric characters. Attached to the rope are various paper tags, including one for Liskeard Auction Rooms Lot 635, a handwritten tag for Richard K., and an event tag for Vita Track / Lead the Way / FLOW Camp.
