Lot 636: Two Cased Items Comprising a Royal British Legion Chairman's Badge of Office and a Cutlery Set
A Royal British Legion Chairman’s ceremonial neck badge and a partial set of cased flatware. The badge features a central silver-toned lion’s head mask mounted within a blue enamel stylized L shape, enclosed by a circular blue enamel band inscribed THE ROYAL BRITISH LEGION. This central motif is surrounded by a gilt laurel wreath and surmounted by a St Edward’s Crown. A blue enamel scroll at the base is inscribed CHAIRMAN. The badge is suspended from a wide neck ribbon in blue and yellow. The cutlery set consists of thirteen pieces: six forks, six dessert spoons, and one large serving spoon, all in a polished finish with rounded handle terminals. Both items are housed in matching blue and silver textured presentation cases, with the badge case featuring a blue velvet lining. This lot is numbered 636 from Liskeard Auction Rooms.
