Lot 652: An Assortment of Collectables including a Commemorative Captain's Bell, Carriage Clocks, and a Character Jug
This lot comprises a variety of decorative and utilitarian objects. A primary item is a metal nautical-style hand bell with a turned dark wood handle. The base of the bell is embossed with the text CAPTAIN’S BELL. It features a suspended metal plaque on a chain engraved with the following text: A.S.A.I. INTERNATIONAL SPORTSBOAT CHAMPIONSHIPS NOV. 2007 – HONG KONG RACE 9 – 1st OVERALL. Included is a pair of brass-cased carriage clocks. The first is a Louifrey Special Edition quartz clock, made in England, featuring a white dial with Roman numerals and a top carrying handle. The second is a smaller brass-cased quartz carriage clock with a dark dial and Roman numerals. The group further contains a hand-painted ceramic character jug depicting a smiling male figure in a brown top hat and yellow neckerchief, with a handle uniquely modelled as a polka-dot cloth featuring an integrated pocket watch motif. Completing the lot is a clear cut glass bowl with a scalloped rim, fleur-de-lis decorative motifs, and a starburst pattern to the base, alongside a vintage manual metal pump with a T-handle.
