Lot 785: Two tables comprising a reproduction oak occasional table in the Jacobean style and a modern adjustable utility table
This lot consists of two separate tables of differing styles and periods. The first is an oak occasional table, a 20th-century reproduction in the 17th-century Jacobean style, finished with a dark stain. It features a solid rectangular top with a squared edge over a carved frieze decorated with a repeating nulled oval motif. The table is supported by four turned cup and cover legs which transition into square blocks joined by a low-profile rectangular perimeter stretcher. A handwritten numeral 4 is visible on the underside. The second item is a modern height-adjustable utility or over-bed table. It features a rectangular top with rounded corners, finished in a light wood-effect laminate with a black plastic protective edge. The black powder-coated metal frame consists of an H-shaped base fitted with four twin-wheel plastic castors and twin telescopic uprights with plastic hand-tightening knobs for height adjustment.
