Lot 559: Four Vintage Folk Art Ships in Bottles
A collection of four vintage folk art ships in bottles. The first vessel is a three-masted ship with a blue hull, red accents, and cream-coloured sails, set upon a textured pale green sea base in a round bottle with a cord-wrapped neck and red wax-effect seal. The second is a two-masted vessel with red sails and a white hull, positioned on a blue base in a round bottle with cord wrapping; this bottle bears a Liskeard Auction Rooms label for Lot 559. The third vessel is a three-masted square-rigged ship with a black and red hull and white sails, set on a dark grey textured base in a round bottle with a black screw-on cap. The fourth is a three-masted square-rigged vessel with natural wood-toned masts and hull, set on a yellow base against a painted background depicting a sunset and sea. This vessel is housed in a flattened flask-shaped bottle with cord neck wrapping and a gold-toned cap.
