Lot 747: A Vintage Child's Painted Wooden Double School Desk and Two Matching Chairs
A child-sized double school desk with two matching chairs, constructed from solid wood and finished in a lavender paint. The desk features two side-by-side hinged lids that open to provide individual storage compartments. A fixed narrow wooden strip at the rear includes two circular cut-outs designed for inkwells. The desk is supported by four square-section legs. The two matching chairs have curved backrests with two horizontal slats and H-stretcher bases for reinforcement. The set is decorated with cream-coloured accents on the chair backrests and a geometric border pattern on the seats. A handwritten paper label is attached to the top reading School Desk / Chairs + Misc Small Furniture 13, along with an auction lot sticker.
