Lot 406: An early 20th-century mahogany bow-fronted display cabinet
An early 20th-century mahogany display cabinet of single-piece construction, designed in the Queen Anne revival style. The cabinet features a single central door with a bow-fronted glass panel, flanked by two flat glass side panels. The glazing is decorated with wooden astragal bars forming scroll patterns at the top and bottom of each panel. The interior is fitted with two removable glass shelves and is back-lined with a light-coloured fabric featuring a diamond pattern. The piece is raised on short legs terminating in ball and claw feet. A single lock is present on the door. Labels include a printed sticker on the top surface reading Liskeard Auction Rooms Lot 406 and handwritten characters on masking tape reading 3028. No maker’s marks or stamps are visible on the exterior or base of the cabinet.
