Lot 414: A Collection of Decorative Ceramics, Glassware, and Enamelware including a Japanese Satsuma Style Vase and a Yugoslavia Enamel Kettle
An assortment of decorative items comprising a Japanese export porcelain vase, a vintage enamel kettle, a two-tone stoneware flagon, and various glassware. The porcelain vase features an ovoid body and waisted neck, decorated in the Satsuma style with a hand-painted central panel depicting a samurai warrior amongst bamboo, set against a cobalt blue ground with gilded floral motifs and raised moriage dot work. The vintage enamel-coated metal kettle is finished in a deep blue ground with transfer-printed daisy motifs, attributed to Yugoslavia based on established pattern consensus. The lot includes a miniature two-tone glazed stoneware flagon with a cobalt blue top and buff lower body, and a small shell-shaped lustreware porcelain dish featuring green shamrock motifs and a gilt souvenir inscription. The glassware consists of a pair of clear wine goblets with gilded foliate rims, a pressed clear glass dessert dish on a faceted stem, and a small cobalt blue glass bowl with a beaded rim. An auction room sticker is present on the body of the kettle.
