Lot 511: Three figurines comprising a carved wooden pig and two pieces of porcelain attributed to Belleek including a Setanta figure and basket weave vase
This lot consists of three decorative items, including two pieces of glazed porcelain attributed to Belleek of Ireland. The first porcelain item is a bud vase featuring a molded basketweave texture and decorated with hand-painted green shamrock motifs, finished with a scalloped and flared rim. The second porcelain piece is a Setanta figure, depicting a seated man smoking a pipe and holding a large shamrock with gilt edging, further embellished with shamrock motifs on his hat and boots. Both porcelain pieces feature the characteristic ivory-toned glaze associated with Irish pottery. Completing the group is a stylised hand-carved wooden pig figurine, depicted in a seated position with incised anatomical details and a natural, light-toned finish that shows visible tool marks and wood grain.
