Lot 725: Vintage 23rd Plymouth Wolf Cubs Scout Group flag on wooden pole with brass fleur-de-lis finial
A vintage mid-20th century Scout Association Wolf Cubs group flag for the 23rd Plymouth pack. The rectangular yellow fabric flag features green printed details. The upper portion is inscribed with 23RD PLYMOUTH in block lettering. The centre displays a stylised green wolf head with yellow eyes, positioned above a white scroll bearing the movement motto DO YOUR BEST. The bottom of the flag is marked WOLF CUBS in green block lettering. The flag is mounted on a turned wooden pole which features a central brass ferrule for dismantling and is topped with a brass fleur-de-lis finial. The finial includes embossed text on the crossbar which is not clearly legible. The lot includes a brown fabric protective storage sleeve. The designation Wolf Cubs indicates a date prior to the 1966 UK rebranding to Cub Scouts.
