Lot 815: A mid-20th-century Tudor Revival carved oak court cupboard
This mid-20th-century court cupboard is constructed from stained oak in the Tudor Revival style. The upper section features an oversailing top with a carved lunette frieze, supported by two prominent bulbous cup and cover turned columns. Below the frieze are two small cupboard doors, each decorated with a central carved diamond lozenge panel, flanking a central recessed compartment. The lower section comprises a bank of four drawers with fluted fronts and cast metal drop pulls, positioned above a two-door cupboard base. The lower doors feature matching carved lozenge panels and are mounted with decorative cast metal H-style hinges in an antique finish. A small white inventory label numbered 3028 is present on the top surface. This piece is stylistically consistent with UK manufacturers such as Wood Bros for their Old Charm range.
