Lot 132: A Vintage Galvanised Steel Swill Bin with Internal Strainer Bucket and Lid
A mid-20th century galvanised steel utility bin, of the type commonly used for pig swill or agricultural waste. The cylindrical body is constructed from rolled and seamed sheet steel and is fitted with two heavy-duty riveted side handles. It features a deep overhanging lid with a central D-shaped handle. The interior contains its original galvanised bucket with a perforated base, designed to facilitate liquid drainage. The interior wall of the main bin displays embossed markings including the numbers 18 and 36 alongside other partially legible characters. This item is characteristic of mid-century British agricultural and domestic utility hardware.
