Lot 405: A Collection of Decorative Ceramics, Glassware, and Metalware
A collection of varied decorative and household items. The ceramic portion of the lot includes a large unglazed terracotta pitcher with a loop handle, a glazed white pitcher featuring hand-painted abstract blue and yellow motifs with a dark speckled rim, and a tall cream-coloured candlestick holder with floral relief and rose accents. Also included is a white ceramic bottle with a red wax-style seal and a child’s ceramic plate with a transfer-printed waterfowl border and central scene. The glassware comprises a large clear glass bowl with an etched floral band, several cut-glass tumblers with geometric patterns, and a small green glass swan figurine. Metalware consists of a tall goblet with chased floral and foliate engraving on the bowl and a small figural cast metal stand or egg cup. The collection also includes a dark brown annular-form flask with decorative geometric bands and a central cutout. A paper lot tag from Liskeard Auction Rooms for lot 405 is present on the plate. No maker’s marks are visible on the items.
